002. ABOUT THE MUN.
My name is Arrow, my pronouns are she/they and I am a queer person of color. I'm 31 and will not interact with anyone under the age of 21. The block and unfollow buttons are available for you at all times for your safety and mine. Use them as you need.I am autistic, a bitch is depressed, and I don’t know a single millennial without anxiety. I sound like a robot on the good days, and probably like a broken record on the bad. Don’t take it personally, we’re all going through it. If you feel as though I’m upset or brushing you off, please come and talk to me.I don’t do passive aggressiveness, vague posts, and excessive negativity. If you have a problem with me, then spit it out in plain English or just hit the block button.I don’t care about your drama with someone else. There is no reason to tell me about it unless it directly involves me. Do not expect me to take your side just because we write together. At the end of the day, I am here to write, and that’s all I want to do. I will curate my experience as I see fit and I encourage everyone to do the same.003. RP STYLE.Because I’m a working professional with a very unpredictable schedule and chronic health issues, this blog is very low-activity. I have several other blogs on my blogroll, so my reply speed will vary, based on my schedule, my energy levels, my muse for a specific thread, and so on. I like having a variety of options for the same dynamic/mun because it increases the chances of me finding something that sparks my inspiration as I'm scrolling through my drafts or inbox.I am strictly a plot-based blog. I generally do not post or respond to starter calls, and instead I prefer to build dynamics and relationships together before we start writing anything, just so everyone is on the same page. This also allows us to jump into the thick of the story without having to resort to small talk or introduction threads. If you would like to plot, the best way to interact would be to either send in a meme or jump into my IMs. This also allows me to interact with OCs and make sure that our backgrounds can interact in a logical manner.I have a strong preference for dark, angsty, feelsy, or whumpy plots. I don’t mind a little fluff sprinkled in when it makes sense, but pure fluff will make me lose muse very quickly.I generally don't do very many NSFW things, but the chances of NSFW happening increase the more we plot and the more comfortable I am with the other mun. If you try to force such topics on me, or I find it’s the only thing you’re interested in, you will get blocked.I will not do pregnancy / baby plots. Not my jam. Don’t ask.I’m duplicate friendly. I don’t mind if people who write the same muses follow me and chat with me so long as there’s the understanding that we can have differences of opinion and characterization. I love talking about my muses, especially with people who love them just as much as I do.Personal blogs are welcome, but please do not reblog or spam like my posts or you will be blocked. I need my activity to stay clean for RP purposes, but I appreciate having you here. You are always welcome to send in meta questions or thoughts if you’d like to hear my take on something.004. FOLLOWING.It's pretty rare of me to follow first, if only because my activity is quite low and I don't want to raise anyone's expectations of me. However, I do look at every blog that follows me. So you can say that I am highly selective, meaning that I’m extremely picky about who I follow and have on my dash. It will take me some time to go through blogs and follow back. I do not follow everyone back, nor do I always follow an entire mun’s blogroll. Following is my way of expressing interest in writing and showing that I enjoy your writing on my dash.Things that might make me more likely to follow a blog include:>> Your blog is accessible. ou cut your posts, you don’t use large gifs or gifs pulled from the search feature, your font is a reasonable size and does not include any special fonts that are inaccessible to screenreaders, I can easily find the links on your page, etc.
>> You have a basic rules page. Basically I just need to know what I’m getting myself into by following your blog. Similarly, if you are an OC, I need a basic bio or stats page. Enough that I can figure out if our muses will be able to interact.
>> You write muses from the same fandom. This is simple enough. If you write someone from the same source material, chances are one of us has an idea on how to set up a plot between our muses.
>> You act like an adult. Everyone has their own definition of what 'acting like an adult' means. For me, it means being respectful of each other's energy and time, as well as being able to communicate openly and civilly.
>> You have a basic tagging system. Please meet me halfway on being able to blacklist things like nsfw, ooc, musing tags, etc. by having at least some semblance of a tagging system so I can keep my dash clean. This is a mutuals exclusive blog. Please don’t like my plotting calls or send me memes if we’re not mutuals as this will result in a soft block. If you need to talk to me, my Tumblr inbox is open to all for OOC communication, whether or not I’m following you. Anonymous stays on so long as it's not misused. Discord can be made available to mutuals upon request.005. FORMATTING.My default format is third person and whatever tense my brain decides to use at the time. I will be using muse banners. I don’t care what my partner uses as long as it is not pulled from the tumblr gif search feature / is not enormous and is not smaller than 64 by 64px. Iconless, gif icons, static icons, and small/medium gifs are all welcome here.I cannot write with anyone who writes in first or second person, excessively formats ( I’m talking about eight spaces between each letter ), or screenshots their replies as it triggers some bad headaches. I also will not write with anyone who does not cut their posts. Just have some good dash etiquette please.I generally write in para / multi-para / novella format, and am adaptable as things progress. One-liners are not my typical style and will always turn into at least a paragraph because I'm incapable of keeping things short.006. PLOTTING.As mentioned, this is a plot-based blog, meaning, I do not write with anyone I do not plot with. I’m terrible at winging it, and I like to have a basic idea of what the dynamic is before writing (platonic, antagonistic, romantic, etc.). It also helps me to test chemistry with my writing partners instead of just writing starters and throwing them at the wall. The unfortunate reality is that I have limited time to spend writing and while I am always looking for new people to write with, I need to curate the process a little bit more. While I am slow to reply to threads, I'm always down to plot OOC and often you can get more out of me that way that can be later introduced in threads and asks.Any muse on my list can be requested at any time, regardless of whether we've written that pairing together or not. If not specified, I will generally default to something from the same fandom. If you have a wishlist tag you want me to look through, feel free to throw it my way. I promise you this will make it 100% easier to interact with me if I know what kind of story or dynamic you’re looking for, and it’ll be easier for me to get excited about it.Plots can take time to develop so don’t be discouraged if we don’t lock on something immediately. I’m all for reworking and tweaking things or trying a different verse altogether. As long as there’s engagement from you, we’ll make something work. I have zero problem kicking canon events out the window so long as there is a way to carry forward a similar emotional moment. My meme tag is PERMANENT which means that you can send in any meme, regardless of when I reblogged it. Feel free to send in as many memes you’d like. As mentioned before, this is one of the best ways to indicate interest or kick off plotting if we haven’t done so before. I don’t believe in reblog karma and generally will reblog from the source. Feel free to reblog memes from me if you want, but if it’s the only thing you’re doing, I reserve the right to block you.
007. TRIGGERS/CONTENT WARNINGS.My triggers are graphic descriptions and imagery of self-harm / suicidal thoughts and acts. This particularly includes statements along the lines of “I don’t see the point of living because no one loves / cares about me.” Please tag these or I will soft block. Please also tag all NSFW imagery. This extends beyond porn gifs, but ask whether your boss would be cool looking at that picture on your work computer (overly provocative/barely clothed pics). If you ever need me to tag something, feel free to let me know, either anonymously or privately. My trigger format is always “ trigger tw “.Heavy religious rhetoric, while not a trigger, makes me uncomfortable, especially if it comes in the form of trying to convince me that my views are wrong because a religion says so, or act as dogwhistles for homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, Zionism, etc. This blog is not welcome to people who perpetuate racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, Zionism, and other topics of that nature. If discriminatory themes are relevant to a thread, I would prefer to just insinuate it exists rather than explicitly playing it out unless otherwise stated. I face enough of these microaggressions in my daily life and have no desire to relive them here.008. SHIPPING.In this house, we respect ALL kinds of ships, platonic, romantic, sexual, familial, antagonistic, etc. I love everything from toxic relationships to soulmates, the types of relationships that stick in your gut, and show the good and bad of a character. I love midgames and endgames and one night stands. Life is messy and difficult and I am interested in exploring all of it.I’m very big on multishipping and don’t stand for any ship hate, regardless of whether I ship it or not. I will never force a ship on anyone and would appreciate the same treatment in return. When it comes to developing ships, so long as all parties are consenting adults, and we've discussed a little ooc, I'm willing to give most things a shot. This blog abides by proshipping/ship and let ship and ykinmkato. As mentioned before, I am going to be highly selective about what NSFW things get responded to. If we have a ship and I don’t respond to NSFW things for them, it doesn’t mean that I love our ships less, I’m just an awkward aroace bean.009. CALLOUTS & DRAMA.I don’t reblog callouts. I don’t do drama or pick sides unless I'm explicitly involved. I’m a firm believer of making your own space on the internet, interfacing with the information I have at hand, and making my own assessment from there. I don’t care who did what and why people aren’t friends. I respect anyone's need to block and unfollow people as they need and move on. If at any point I am uncomfortable with what I'm seeing on my dash, I'll curate my space accordingly. I don’t care whether my writing meets your purity standards. Someone else’s duplicate anxiety is not my problem. This is my safe space, not yours. If something I write bothers you or squicks you out, please do whatever you need to do to stay safe. I promise there are never hard feelings on my end for taking care of yourself, and I expect the same mentality from my partners.I tend to go through my followers and soft-block every few months to clean up archived blogs, people I haven't written/interacted with, other basic housekeeping things, unless their rules specify a hard block.010. BANNED FACECLAIMS / DNI.
If you write with Ghost/Zero (@tricursed / @gcdhood / any of their blogs), I ask that you do not interact with my blogs. I will soft block anyone who puts them in my circle.I won’t interact with characters that use kpop idols as a faceclaim. This is for my own personal comfort because as a Korean person, the level of fetishization that surrounds those communities makes me uncomfortable. There are no exceptions to this rule. Furthermore, if you as a person are involved in reading/writing/interacting with kpop rpf, you are not welcome here, and I ask that you do not interact with any of my blogs. There are a handful of other faceclaims who, while not banned, are faces I’m uncomfortable with and may be hesitant to follow unless I know the person. If on a multimuse, I’ll probably still follow but not interact with that character. Generally, I am good at separating muse from FC, but there are a few exceptions listed below.>> Matt Davis (including for Alaric) - This is non-negotiable. If you use his face, I ask that you refrain from using gifs or icons in our interactions.
>> Nathaniel Buzolic (including for Kol) - This is non-negotiable. If you use his face, I ask that you refrain from using gifs or icons in our interactions.
>> Paul Bettany (including for Vision) - I’ve gone back and forth with this. I get not wanting to change canon FCs, I’m generally against it myself, but I'm not comfortable with him. If using him as Vision, I will ask that you refrain from using gifs or icons in our interactions.
>> Timothee Chalamet / Sabrina Carpenter / Dove Cameron - As far as I know, none of them have done anything explicitly wrong, I just don’t particularly like their faces for reasons I genuinely wish I could explain. Nothing against them or the people who like their faces.
>> Naya Rivera - I’m generally not bothered by using deceased faceclaims for characters they portrayed during their life. However, Naya and Santana Lopez were and still are incredibly near and dear to my heart, and her death still really affects me, so I ask that you do not use her as a faceclaim with me. I don’t really think it’ll be an issue, but just in case.I will not write with characters from the Fourth Wing or ACOTAR franchises.011. FINAL WORD.Thank you for reading all of these, detailed and lengthy as they are. They are the way they are because I have been doing this for some time and have needed to draw these boundaries in the past. There is no password, and I don’t send passwords in. However, I read everyone’s rules (usually reread them several times for good measure every so often), and if at any point, I break one of your rules, please let me know so I can fix it! Thanks again, and welcome to my blog.
